Why doesn’t anyone ask Democratic presidential candidates whether or not they’re in support of capital punishment? Am I wrong, are they asked?

Why should they be questioned on that issue? Well, it would be a good litmus test for whether or not they were prime candidates for supporting immorality abroad.

A better litmus test would be to ask whether or not they supported Joe Lieberman in his Senatorial confrontations. Much better. In fact, it would be a definitive measure.

Well, just like the door shut for some respecting Howard Dean a few years ago when they realized Vermont’s death penalty had had his support for so long, voters are –or should be– beginning to acknowledge that Oprah’s Choice for 2008 has The (Im)Proper Credentials.

It’s a no-brainer to assert that Madame Clinton will be an Interventionist Nightmare. But a lot of people seem to be confused about what’s going down with Obama. Metaphorically, we need him to be dragged through the streets, mortally wounded. To replace his white dentures with bloody fangs, and festoon his next chosen dance floor with a garland of banana peels. Peal back his disingenuous layers.

It’s time to push aside the Winfreyish Glitter and call a Vicious Hawk a Vicious Hawk.

He is a horror. A horror every bit as bad as Bush or Hillary.

And if we ever get to the point of admitting that, it’ll be very interesting to see what script can then be written for ourselves.
