The Dream Team Governor

The Dream Team Governor of California
Having fun and satisfaction addressing our various forms of toxicity
by R. Martin Oxman

All (gangster) politicians need money to be elected
Our Governor will be elected without any money
Therefore, Our Governor will not be a (gangster) politician

I was going to save the next imperfect syllogism for the end of this article, but I cannot restrain myself from throwing it on the table immediately:

There is an “urgency” attached to many pressing world issues
Our Guv could have an “immediate” impact on the world acting unilaterally
Therefore, residents of California should vote for Our Guv

When the next Governor of California is elected in 2010, she will not be making decisions on her own
. This has zero to do with gender, and everything to do with democratic principles. The first woman to be Governor of California — let’s say Tracy Chapman or Anya Fernald (1), for conversation’s sake — will be part of a huge team of compassionate, knowledgeable, sensitive, visionary, independent, experienced souls.

What else will be unprecedented?

She will become Governor of California without spending any money. Virtually none, on a Zero Budget. And no attempt will be made to make use of mainstream media outlets; in fact they will be avoided like the plague. AND both she and her running mate for Lieutenant Governor (probably one of the lovely souls listed directly below) will run as write-in candidates!

Never has an exclamation point been more appropriately used. I trust that readers will have a sense of what the historic impact will be of victory achieved on such a basis.

Our Dream Team Governor will come out of nowhere, and take over the state of California… for all practical purposes. From the gangsters. I will explain HOW below.

The Working Team
(as in Working Title):

Our Baker’s Dozen+ group can be changed as per feedback from YOU. It would be ideal to have everyone on the team be a resident of California, but that’s not necessary. Essentially, as many members as possible — at a given moment — will talk through issues.* Few, if any, members of the team will be career politicians; politicians listed are the most tentative choices here. And the Guv and the Lt. Guv will probably “change places” during the Guv’s term, for the purposes of making public appearances and the like. Basically, the Guv will be a figurehead, constantly conferring with the team, and incessantly incorporating feedback from the public and local advisors. User-friendly referendums will rule.

*Virtually all talk, all dialogue of possible interest to the public, will be available to citizens of California (and the nation, for that matter) from the moment Our Guv takes office. Such transparency will also be unprecedented. Nothing remotely like that kind of openness has been experienced by citizens. One of many benefits will be that the public viewing of all arguments, disagreements will prevent unprincipled politicians from claiming that they “can’t work with” Our Guv., our team. One result will be that many constituents of “uncooperative” colleagues will pressure their representatives to compromise, etc., making certain legislation more likely. It’s a great means for self-education on issues.

. If you act quickly in solidarity we can have an impact on the imminent presidential vote count, and apply political “pressure” too. The above list will be revised as I receive feedback.

HOW:

This is best explained in person. However, to sound-bite, a geometric progression is put into play among concerned citizens based on one-on-one, bonding contact, culminating in a geometric series (sum of citizens) which is sufficient to take over both the Guv and Lt. Guv seats in Sacramento. Very small cells of friends, responsible only for one another, guarantee registration, voting and healthy participation in leisurely feedback. No stress, no money,… a no-brainer. Additional details upon request.
