EMILIANO’S PARTY
EMILIANO’S PARTY
by Ricardo X
Dedicated to what Don Quixote and Zapata taught me when I drove a NYC taxi for two years, and encouraged radical thinking at institutions of so-called higher education for four decades, constantly looking over my shoulder. See http:oxtogrind.org/archive/378.
This piece was written initially for Latinos, but everyone should be able to jump on board with it. That is, if you’re capable of recoiling in horror at the three facts directly below:
1) Percentage change since 1992 in the annual number of U.S. workplace fatalities among Hispanics: +76.
2) Change among U.S. workers as a whole: -10
3) Number of Mexican children deported on their own from the United States last year: 18,129.
I’m going to change that. WE’RE going to change that… if you join hands with me in solidarity. For the imaginary EMILIANO’S PARTY, by the way, the “E” stands for emergency, one “I” represents what’s indigenous, and the “L” is for Latino. The rest I’ll be honored to reveal upon request… in person.
[Pause.]
If I had a million bucks I’d lay you ten to one that the turnout for the 2010 California gubernatorial contest will find less eligible citizens voting than what turned up at the ballot box last time out.
Voter turnout was a pathetic 39.39% in 2006 for good reason, and with so much of that recent Obama-inspired enthusiasm now deflated… you can be sure that tons of citizens have turned the corner downhill. Rather, they’re now slated to be hanging out at the corner of Resignation Street and Cynicism Boulevard, hanging their hapless hopes out to dry.
The powers that be like it that way, obviously. In fact, one could easily argue that Obama’s run was designed to ruin the electorate, conceived as the final nail in the coffin for voters… his victory (and the ensuing, inevitable deep disappointment) guaranteeing that a disgruntled citizenry would eventually succumb to Apathy and its first cousins (See the street and boulevard above.).
The Democratic Party and the Republican Party — on all levels — are essentially involved in a long running scam. And marginalized third parties are slated to stay on the extreme periphery, just as just about every single politician is slated to be preoccupied with self-serving interests. If anyone doubts this in the least, I’d be glad to provide the necessary documentation to bring you on board.
[Pause.]
We have a legal, non-violent, expeditious plan for action which aims to circumvent that syndrome. It’s called TOSCA… as in Taking Over the State of California (http://oxtogrind.org/archive/364).
I’ve written over a hundred articles delineating the details, thrust, etc. related to TOSCA, and in each instance I try to approach the subject from a new angle. Here I go again.
This time perhaps the reader should simply answer the questions below for themselves. Sit with the responses for a bit. And, then, immediately get in touch with me… if something resonates. PLEASE don’t worry about HOW we’re going to accomplish this or that. I’ve got lots of ideas, but — first — something indefinable has to kick in.
In no special order:
1. What do you think would happen if the vast majority of Latino voters who have supported Democrats in California’s gubernatorial elections voted for the TOSCA candidate in 2010, withdrawing support from what’s sure to be another polished, compassionless gangster candidate for the Dems… enabling TOSCA to garner more votes than Dems… even in a losing cause? [Those facts above, in one form or another, have been around for a long time, and no major party candidate has ever seriously addressed them OR issues which are even worse.] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_gubernatorial_election,_2006#S tatewide_Results provides an interesting demographic breakdown.
2. What do you think would happen if most of the state’s eligible Latino voters showed up for TOSCA in 2010? See http://www.ppic.org/content/pubs/jtf/JTF_LatinoVotersJTF.pdf (Latino Likely Voters in California). This is actually a different question than #1. Think about it.
3. What do you think would happen if Latino members of the Green Party and Latino members of the Peace and Freedom Party and their non-Latino friends/co-members voted for the TOSCA gubernatorial candidate, but kept their ongoing affiliation for other contests in 2010?
4. What do you think would happen if the gubernatorial TOSCA candidate drew as many votes as the combined total of invalid (or blank votes) and Green Party votes — almost 500,000 when added together — in 2010? Especially if the TOSCA campaign were run — as planned — on a zero budget.
5. What do you think would happen if the TOSCA candidate for Governor of California pulled more votes than any other write-in candidate in the history of the state?
6. What do you think would happen if those who voted for our TOSCA candidate learned that electoral fraud had taken place, and their victorious candidate was not allowed to take office?
Maybe that’s enough blah blah for now.
Seriously, I do hope that I’ll hear from you.
Blessings in solidarity,
Ricardo X
