This is about Life.

This is about murder in which you are complicit. Ongoing murder and other abominations. Not just http://collateralmurder.com/, but stuff like what Bill Blum delineates in the first few paragraphs of http://www.counterpunch.org/blum04062010.html.

This is NOT about politics. This is not Democratic vs. Republican or third party blah blah.

And this is NOT about what may be your most narrow interests in life.

This is about Life, and whether or not you want to support it.

This is NOT about fund raising. This is NOT about taking you away from your personal priorities… except maybe for a very few heartbeats.

This is about Life having meaning, being ecstatic above and beyond personal orgasms. Not in lieu of orgasms, but rather something in addition to sexual satisfaction, collecting toys, relaxing and the like. This is NOT about your next meal or the roof over your head as things stand. On the other hand, this IS about you — whoever you are — having very decent health care available at zero cost (if necessary), quality health care for affordable prices above and beyond what’s provided at present in our society. It IS about lots of things which personally concern you, which are not necessarily directly connected to having compassion for (and involvement in) the lives of others.

This is about TAKING OVER THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (TOSCA). Which means, essentially, taking more control of our lives in a fresh way, in solidarity.

So that we can stop our horrid momentum. So that we can have a shot in hell of stopping the murder and other abominations which plague us all. Like ECOCIDE. And about improving your personal lot within that context.

This is about making music together. Hitting notes you didn’t think you could reach.

P.S. I agree with Arnold Pepper that the only way to “confront” the gratuitous violence embraced by the major political parties is to make fresh use of comedy, sensuality and music. The only way to avoid incipient large societal violence is to follow a paradigm not offered by well-intentioned third parties, to not waste further time within the electoral arena along traditional lines.
