On the Sunny Side of the Street
NOTE: THIS IS UNEDITED. [PAUSE.] FOR WHOM WOULD I EDIT IT, ANYWAY? People are responding to the previous calls for action at the pace of an arthritic snail, or not at all… common courtesy now in the category of… dinosaur. This is, then, just a flight of fancy.

“People take themselves much too seriously about silly stuff they’ve made up, and put much too light a twist on what’s truly terrible on the horizon.” — the author’s eleven-year-old home schooled son who loves Cole Porter and can’t stand violence in any form

Why do citizens cry and bleat
Let the police hit them upside the head
Beat them down with records at the barricades
March in circles with placards
Sign petitions that do not work
Scour for jobs when there is no work
Act like jerks on bended knee for quirks of shite
When mighty reins of power are within their grasp?
We are the hour.

Why do people act as if they don’t need Chicken Little?
Why do I feel like I’m in a new version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers?
Why let apathy, cynicism, resignation, ignorance and atomization rule?
Especially that self-serving cynicism, the unconscious kind.
[Pause.] Actually, the atomization is worse.
Why not fool around together with a new paradigm?
Won’t cost a dime. Could bring out the pitter pat in time.
Life could be so sweet. Virtually overnight. All I need, for starters, are a dozen of you with hearts, heads and souls in a healthy place. And a little music. Correction, make that… only one, for starters.
Just direct your feet to http://oxtogrind.org/archive/944. It may be that there are only zombies of a sort in Lake County, California, but that doesn’t mean that the Body Snatchers have secured absolutely everyone at this juncture.
Put on your legal and nonviolent revolutionary cap and call me at 707-994-1839 or email me at aptosnews@gmail.com. My ability to call out by phone is very limited, but call at any hour. Blessings in solidarity and musical spirit, Your Ox
