Friends Don’t Lend Books

They give ‘em away…whenever possible. The great title for this section is Pure Scott.

Freebies now include copies of a) Mike Davis’ Dead Cities, b) Iris Chang’s The Chinese in America and c) Ward Churchill’s A Little Matter of Genocide. AND MUCHO videos of “left lectures” including everyone from Zinn to Nader to Scott Ritter to Edward Said to Sonali Kolhatkar. The visuals would be ideal for anyone with connections to a library-type situtation. Since numbers of copies are very limited, it might be best to include a single sentence about why you want a given item when you contact me. Blessings in solidarity, Richard P.S. Always let me know if you’re planning to travel –especially to Europe– as I often have access to basic guides, etc.

And a friend will send for free **The Rough Guide to Cuba, the Lonely Planet Cuba, Fodor’s Exploring Cuba AND the Eyewitness Travel Guide to Cuba**

Ideally, the Cuba books should go to someone planning a trip to the Caribbean.

What’s below opened this section on May 1st; the books are still available.

Five to start with (while they last):

4. Mickey Zezima, Saving Private Power: The Hidden History of “The Good War” (New York: Soft Skull Press, 2000). Hardcover. Even though I’m at severe odds with Mickey Z for awhile now, there’s no getting around the fact that this work is an excellent, condensed ditty for the right person, the right situation. The main gift handed out at www.onedancesummit.org. I’d love to get mucho copies plus into someone’s hands for prisoners. And don’t forget about other groups, including the needs of local libraries. We’ve got to get people over the notion that we were once good guys. Ask me about what change I recommended…prior to its being issued as a paperback.

5. Mark Zepezauer, Take the Rich Off Welfare (Cambridge: South End Press, 2004). New, Expanded Edition Softcover. In spite of all of their good points, it’s my negative experiences with the five authors above…which deserve the most careful consideration from my readers. Fundamental weaknesses among The Left that continue to go virtually unacknowledged. Nevertheless, this work is arguably as useful a publication as you’ll find for recruiting and much more. It’s an excellent recruiting tool (aside from being fascinating in and of itself). And potential inductees don’t have to have an ounce of compassion about others to join hands with you against The Powers…to be affected by this book. All they need to care about is highway robbery…with themselves as the victim motorists…driving a mobile home…with everything being lost.

You pay the postage…after the fact.

Special video/DVD+sound notes: Let me know, if you will, if you can put political visuals to good use on your end; I’ve got loads to share from this quarter. Wish I could get the Let The Buyer Beware Lenny Bruce new thing to you; maybe we’ll secure that before long. It’s a beautiful package…with essays/photos/info to die for…w/o having to go through what he did.
Love, Ox

P.S. Perhaps we’ll post a comment or two from readers who encounter some of the works listed here.
